Focus and Scope

Science Education and Application Journal (SEAJ) is a peer-reviewed journal that specifically focuses on research-based science education and applied natural sciences with clear educational and practical implications. In the field of science education, SEAJ publishes original research articles and critical reviews that examine the teaching and learning of science at primary, secondary, and higher education levels. The journal emphasizes studies on STEM/STEAM education, ethnoscience and local wisdom in science learning, socio-scientific issues, curriculum analysis and development, learning assessment, teacher competence and professionalism, scientific literacy, higher-order thinking skills, and the design, implementation, and evaluation of innovative and evidence-based learning models.

In addition, SEAJ provides a dedicated scope for applied natural science studies that are relevant to science education and learning applications. This includes research in biology, chemistry, physics, environmental science, biodiversity, and biotechnology that supports instructional development, learning media, contextual science learning, sustainability education, and the application of scientific concepts to real-world educational contexts. The journal prioritizes interdisciplinary studies that connect scientific content with pedagogical practice and classroom implementation. Through this focused scope, SEAJ aims to strengthen the linkage between scientific knowledge, educational innovation, and practical application, while maintaining academic rigor and relevance aligned with national and international scholarly standards.
