Historical Background of Reforma: Journal of Education and Learning
Since its inception in 2016, Reforma: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pembelajaran has served as a dedicated platform for advancing discourse in education and pedagogy. Established under the pioneering leadership of its first managing editor, Madekan, the journal began its journey with biannual publications in May and November, consistently releasing 10 rigorously peer-reviewed articles per issue. Over its initial years, Reforma carved a niche in disseminating innovative research, bridging theoretical frameworks with practical classroom applications.

In 2023-2024, the journal underwent a brief hiatus, a strategic pause aimed at restructuring and revitalizing its vision to meet evolving academic standards. Emerging from this transformative period, Reforma transitioned its stewardship to Kiki Septaria, whose dynamic leadership has infused renewed energy into the journal’s mission. A milestone arrived in 2025 with the introduction of a modernized template, reflecting the journal’s commitment to enhancing accessibility, readability, and global scholarly engagement. This redesign not only elevated its aesthetic appeal but also aligned its format with contemporary digital publishing practices, ensuring its relevance in an increasingly competitive academic landscape.

Today, Reforma stands as a testament to resilience and adaptation, continuing its legacy of fostering academic excellence while embracing future-oriented innovations in education.
